One must consider the people that our clones are based off of are similar to ones on the left. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CAAIFiOWsAESyk6.jpg:large

The merits of a low gravity world and having high jumps there ruining the game?
Discuss and critically think.

Would it be very unbelievable that a semi-cybernetic body from a 10,000 year old society (sleepers came with the terrans as a lowly caste of workers) would yield enough enhancements to figure out how to jump obscurely high on demand? Unlike the Jove pictured who reversed engineered as their descendants and still mostly failed to understand most of the technology involved with sleepers. I wonder how many innovations we had come out of dissecting a sleeper; after all we did rip out the first bunch of implants out of their brains for our first batch of soldiers. How many military grade clone and drop suit improvements where a fallout result?
First encounter with a living sleeper wiped out a small company of highly trained soldiers unarmed and unarmored.

Nocturnal Soul wrote:So your asking how far we've come from the original clones? And are trying to find lore to back the recent changes to the blue pill?
Don't need to its already there; and like I mentioned elsewhere the current real world earth assisted jump record is 23 feet vertical, the technology behind this is pretty effing simple and so low tech you may slap yourself. (though to be fair unassisted is around 64 inches with the caveat that we may be at our biological limits currently for that)

and that's legs stretched out and toes down. NBA finds these monsters every so often.

Very Similarly the description of us under the suits would be at most a crude, but practical and amazing from our point of view, imitation.

People falling to the ground seem to be doing so at a constant speed rather than a constant acceleration, therefore I am inclined to believe that there isn't any gravity in Dust 514.
This may be the result of the game engine using a simpler physics model instead of something ps3 meltworhty.

This may be the result of the game engine using a simpler physics model instead of something ps3 meltworhty. I wouldn't think that objects falling at a constant of change speed would be meltworthy, but then again I have limited knowledge of game engines. Still I thought if there was a discussion about how gravity affects a suit's jump height, it would be appropriate point out a lack there-of, or " rampant improper falling."
All I know that there is a switch and when its set to simple the rules are dumbed down significantly using less complicated math. Cranking it on allows for way more cooler **** but the way we have the game optimized we cant afford the FPS loss.
Fake gravity rules can be applied (constant fall speed + jump height) more easily despite this.
You have to remember fighting for frames per second is about cheating the system as much as possible and leads to some funny results such as paper thin walls map wise. Buildings with no backsides or roofs, and a flat 2d backgrounds made to look 3d.
Some far off battle? those are units out there are 10 polygons and shrunk down to give it the appearance its far ways off.
CCP being ill experienced at making FPS did the exact wrong things at most points by making maps very wholesome and complete with very few cheats and one of the cheats they did use was patched out because the original map design was not considering roof top play (drop-ships and turbo lavs getting up there) so they had to go back and make the roofs presentable.
